Choppy seas

100 nautical miles north of Colon, Panama, the seas are confused and choppy. The wind is intermittent: violent gusts from seemingly random directions then nothing. These conditions are common as one approaches the ITCZ (Inter-Tropical_Convergence-Zone). The erratically shifting wind spawns wicked, rogue waves -- like this one that buried the port side seconds before the shot was taken.
