Centennial Bridge over the Panama Canal

Three fixed bridges will eventually span the Panama Canal. The southern approach was the first to be spanned by the Bridge of the Americas. Then a glorious edifice to El Presidente, Centennial Bridge (shown here) was rushed through so as not to be "Centennial, and a few months... maybe" Bridge, without having built the roads to it yet. Kind of like towing a dented warship all the way from Victoria to Halifax to get cut up for scrap. Finally, a third bridge spanning the northern approach to the canal is soon to be completed.
