Container ship loading in Balboa, southern approach to the Panama Canal, Panama

The Panama Canal not only transports ships, but provides a massive, container logistics system whereby ships bound for different destinations exchange their cargo. In this case, in Balboa, a super-massive container ship (too big to transit the canal) offloads and takes on cargo. This picture was taken mere weeks before the completion of the Panama Canal expansion which now allows ships of this size to transit.
